Default spoon balanced pistons vs. ctr pistons

deciding which to go with? I may need some help with this..
will the ctr pistons fit up with jdm gsr (b18c) rods in my 96 gsr motor?
will i need anything else besides pistons, rings, and pins?

also, which pistons would you choose?
thanks a bunch

Question is are the JDM GSR rods good w/ 12.5:1 Compression? What else are you upgrading?...I'm planning on pistons in the future, though w/ my mileage(90k), I'm probably going to go w/ the entire spoon balanced block.

Remember! ! ! ! ! Name Brand doesn't always mean Power!

My advise, CTR Pistons, ITR Rods, light weight Flywheel. With that in a GSR, would be a beast, all you need now are some nice cams, if your on a Buget, I'd go with some CTR Cams, now your talking Beasty...............You will alo need a good header as well, I can vouch for the Spoon Header, make pretty good midrange power, let me know if your interested, $700obo

Good luck,
Nick

Nope.

I've held both rods in my hands and they're not the same.

I have the Spoon/JDM ITR pistons in my engine and if I had to do it again, I would go with the CTR pistons. The Spoon pistons alone won't give you enought compression to give you good HP.
