questions about acceleration pedal and my intake....
okay, i have a 99 LS, it's my second car (coming off of a Lincoln Continental) so its very different. i dont know much about engines/cars altogether.
anyway... i was driving my buddies GSR and i noticed that his acceleration pedal goes down alot farther than mine. my only seems to go half of what his is like when i floor mine. is there something wrong with mine, or is it just the difference between the GSR and LS? also, when i am driving, theres a sound of like air rushing in the engine i guess, i have an AEM sri, is that normal or not? my buddy said it wasnt and it may be due to the fact that the factory air box is still in... but he doesnt know. how can i fix that, it fairly annoying? under the front bumper there's this ridged plastic box taht he says i should take out, but i'm not sure.

Yes, hearing air being sucked in is perfectly normal, you do after all have an aftermarket intake on.

Unless you wanna pull back the fender liner on the passenger side to get it out,
don't bother, it won't make Any difference other then taking up space you don't use anyways.
But if you take it out, then no big deal either, since your Intake is Not connected to it,
it will make no difference in if you take the extra plastic out, or not left behind from the stocker.

im not sure about the pedal thing. But my intake also has this air rushing noise at high rpms. It is annoying but people said it is normal. Also you can take off that old airbox down by the bumper. Get some room or something.
thanks for the info... anyone knows whats going on with this??

Have someone sit in your car and depress the accelerator while you watch the throttle body. If you see the TB opening fully, there's no problem.
