Default Simple Nitrous set up-Need some info/help

Thinking about running nitrous soon and just want to get everything right. Set up up right now is just a GSR with BLOX IM, intake, 2.5" exhaust, chipped ecu, oem head gasket and ARP's, planning on getting a header some time soon. Only wanting to run a 75 shot on a wet kit. Definently want to get it tuned, either being on Hondata or Neptune since they have the option.

Also an idea came by of using E85 with the tune...good idea? Would there be any drawbacks on tuning with E85 and nitrous? Anyone done this before?

Is there anything else I need besides a complete nitrous kit? If going with E85 also, what else would I need, bigger injectors? Fuel pump?

Thanks.

you shouldent spray if you dont know what the timing is. Nitrous Oxide is an Oxidizer. It makes the A/F mixture burn alot quicker with additional oxygen. This means that the cylinder pressures will increase over stock. Which means that, if you have the wrong timming, like too advanced, then you will detonate the engine.

Apparently nobody but myself understood you correctly.

As taken from the "Post Your Big-Nitrous Honda" thead which you originally posted this question:

You'll be safe on a 75-wet shot with your engine, so long as everything's properly tuned.

E85, from what I understand, is more resistant to detonation than 93 octane, and again, with proper ignition and fuel tuning you can see very profitable results on the go-juice.

Regardless of running E85 or not, I'd recommend picking up a new fuel pump - the tired stock pump will not reliably pump enough fuel for the engine AND nitrous setup for very long. That would be the best upgrade with any fuel-delivery-related upgrade.

So long as you tune for a decent A/F ratio, and no knock, you'll be fine. I've seen stock long-block GSRs on 100-shots with no adverse effects.

I find that NOS nitrous kits are very user friendly. However, as far as saving your motor, zex probably the way to go.
