Default changed ic pipe, turbo audible now

I've had my sc6152s for about 3 months now. It has about 800 miles on it. Up until yesterday this turbo has been quiet. I could hear air rushing in but I couldn't hear the turbo whine. Yesterday I replaced the IC piping coming from the turbo which originally had a 45 degree bend on it. This new pipe has an "L" shaped 90 degree bend. Now the turbo whines very audibly. Soulds like my old t3t4 turbo. I'm not complaining by any means, just wondering if anyone has experienced this before, and could tell me why such a minor adjustment would affect the sound quality in this fashion. Also reason I changed the ic pipe is because I added a traction bar.
