Default 5zigen header kicks ***!!!!! review inside

i just took out my DC header and put on my 5zigen header today with my test pipe. gotdamn! my top end pulls harder than it ever has. normal driving seems to have some spunk too. Car is a little louder than it was due to the test pipe.

DC headers suck! dont buy them. i was a believer in them until now! the size difference between the headers is very noticable.

BTW, i was mistaken on the collector size of the 5zigen. its actually 2.25. i dont have any pics but will get some up soon. Just wanted to let you all know.

Was your DC a USDM or JDM? How's the quality of the 5zigen in comparison to the DC?

the welds on the 5zigen look SUPERB! i actually had a crack in my DC, which i discovered today pulling it out. i dont think it was leaking tho since it didnt have any black **** around the crack. there is a difinate size difference between the both. i wish i took pictures!

So you are comparing a USDM DC header (2" collector) with a stock cat versus this new header (2.25" collector) and a test pipe?

yes i am

my friend and i had identical setups DC header, 5zigen exhaust. his 2 door, my sedan. he has a high flow cat, and i didnt. when we would race, we ran identical times. he would jsut beat me by literally an inch.( i can just see some quoting F&F here) his car does not move like mine does now. if we were to race today i'd destroy him. peeps tell me the test pipe doesnt make that much of a difference. the only reason i put it on was because the flange on it was the right size for the header.

Test pipes make a world of difference compared to the stock cat.

Test pipes and high flow cats...that's where the differences end.

If the 5Zigen is an JDM header it should have a 2.5" (65 mm) flange!!!! I assume......

He was using his DC with the stock cat, so it must be an USDM DC.
