Default Not my radiator!

I have a 2001 civic Ex. So I recently noticed that my car keeps running low on antifreeze. When I look under the hood I see that the white reservoir bottle is sometimes filled all the way to the top and sometimes it will be at the normal level, but the actual radiator will be almost empty. Sometimes when I look under the hood I can see where antifreeze has gotten all over my fan. Does anybody know what is going on?

well. sonds like something pierced your radiator. u can put and egg in it totemporarily fix the problem. when u get your radiator flushed it will remove the egg and then you can find out where the hole is.

the problem ur having is the same thing i had when it first started go read my posting on *OVER HEATING HELP* thats how my car started then next thing it seems like theres no leak or any damage but coolant keeps dissapearing and reservoir keeps packing up leaking out...that means ur head gasket is starting to blow........it mite not seem like it but thats the problem i had... its actually a common problem with the 01-05 year civic...alot of the Em2 driver in here has that problem...

Yeah thats the same thing that my car is doing. If I turn the heater on full blast then it will get warm and then it will start to feel like the outside air, but if I put the heater on low then it will be just fine. How do you get a blown head gasket?

Just out of curiosity, how many miles do you blown head gasket guys have? And how do you drive the car? I was hoping this Civic would hold up like my 93 Accord, 364,000 miles original head gasket still going strong.

I got 110000 miles on my car. I got it brand new, I dont drive it hard it is all stock except an intake and an exhaust! Is the head gasket expensive to replace or will the head gasket problem lead to another problem?

the head gasket can run from 600 to 800 depending where u go...just make sure which shop u take it too, they will give u a monthly warranty...mines in the shop rite now the guy said he will give me 3 months or 3 thousand miles warranty on it...but it seems everyone that has this year car...the headgasket always fukks up...or they have the coolant loosing problem..........
