How much did you pay for your paintjob? My Audi needs some TLC
My 2000 Audi S4 needs a respray. She's 6 yrs old and during her life span she's developed some tiny rust sports, a sandblasted front bumper and hood, and some minor dings and scratches so it's clearly time for a paintjob.
I love my factory Nogaro blue so I'm not doing a color change, just a respray. I don't want to do any post paint stripping, meaning I want to deliver the car to the body shop with all of the lights, molding, windows, etc intact.
I was quoted $4,500 for the job but that seems pretty steep to me. What do you think? What did you pay?
Pic for clicks:

Thanks,
Jacob
PS, I'm in the Boston & DC area if that makes a difference.

there's different grade of paint job, just because one shop quoted u for less doesn't really means you are getting a deal.
he quoted you for less maybe because he not going to put as much labor or quality of products for the job.
how much different a quart of dupont/ppg vs cheap paint ? too much
4500 might sounds alot but if you looking for oe finish then it's about right.
nothing worst than a "discount" for a half ****'d paintjob

Sounds about right. A little on the steep side. Completes usually run around 3k - 4k. Specially if its not a color change.
PPG - 75 a quart no reducer
or
Omni - 20 a quart no reducer
There's a BIG diff in quality of paint and the color matching capabilities of the better paint. Oh well, I only spay with DBC anyway.

paint has gone up alot lately. and if you want a good paint job and buffed to a great shine then you gonna have to pay.
4500 might be a little bit steep, but expect to pay at least 3 if you ask me
