Thinking about painting the ol' HX wheels and polishing up the lip.
My question is, can i clear the polished aluminum and just leave it, or just leave it be and have to polish it.

If having to polish it, will aluminum polish compounds take the paint off the wheel?!?!!?!

Dont want to do ALL that work and then mess them up the first time i clean/polish the wheels.

i would strip the whole wheel down w/ paint remover then polish out what you want then paint the middle .

u can leave the lip bare metal but u will need to polish them every month at least w/ metal polish to keep up the shine. there are other products as well for this but cant remember off the top of my head.
