What will get me more power?
I was just wondering what you guys thinkwill be better in the long run. I am going to be boosting my 94 si in the near future, and am unsure of whether to keep the h23 and put the 22 head on it. Or just do the whole 22 swap. I was also thinking about sending the block out for resleeving this coming winter, so i have that to think about as well. Thanks for the help guys.
An h23 Vtec setup works very well. An h23 is perfect for boost. There is no need to waste the money on getting an h22. Later you can always build an h22 head and stick it on. Good luck
the h22 head will be cheaper, and yield decent torque. From what I have seen, the h23 holds up better to boost, but im not sure how that will change with an h22 head on it. Getting it sleeved would definately be a good idea as well.

Well, unfortunently, i live in Northern Minnesota, and that definently gives me some mandatory downtime when its snowing. I dont drive the car during the winter, i always end up with some piece of ****.

In the meantime, while i have the stock 23 boosted. What is a safe PSi to run on the stock internals? Should i get a smaller turbo because of the lower redline on the 23? What kind of RPM will the stock internals on the 23 take?

To be safe do not bring it past redline. Thats when things start to fail. Even with built bottom ends bringing it past redline all the time can cause problems. When you get a built head then you can bring it up to 8-9k all the time. With a good tune you can safley run anywhere between 7-9 psi.. maybe even more. 7 psi is what people usually boost at on stock internals. Again... tuning is key. Even at 6 psi things can go wrong without a good tune.
