Default Wiring B18b in EG

Hey,

I know this should be an easy question but I search and can not find a thread about wiring a B18b in a EG. I'm not sure if it's a OBD2 B18b or an OBD1. But could you guys lead me to a thread where I could find the information on all the swap.

Thanks

if its obd1: EVERYTHING is plug and play with the original civic wiring warness
if its obd2: easiest would be to buy obd1 inject., distr., ecu, and maybe alt. with orig harness

if its obd2 and you want to run it that way then you'll need the obd2 harness

Wonderfull. My only concern was that you had to add a few wires because of the DOHC. But if not even better. Man it's been a whille since I've been out of the Honda scene.

I just put a b18c5 in my eg and used the 98 type r harness, everything pluged in. I had one extra plug at the passangers side shock tower for the crank sensor (obd2) but you dont need it anyways for the p28 ecu. I could have used the og civic harness and extended wires, changed dizzy, injectors, alt but why would you?

Thats great guy. But let say it was OBD2. Could I just use the OBD2 engine harness and plug it in the engine bay harness?

Just use your stock harness!! If its obd2 then use your obd1 injectors. Don't bother converting to obd2. You can also convert the dist. to obd1 by cutting the plug and replacing it with the old obd1 plug. Just color match the wires.

OBD1 has a 2 plug dizzy, gray injector clips, and round green alternator plug...OBD2 has 1 plug dizzy, black injector clips, and squar alternator...which ever harness came with you motor use that harness as long as its not OBD0 dont mater if its OBD1 or OBD2. run it with OBD1 ECU
