door handle removal?

door handle removal?
does anyone know how to remove the door handle? i was able to disconnect the key rod, but not the other rod that connects to the handle itself. anyone got any input on that? thanks!

i would tell you how i did it but then again, i screwed up one of the sides....so my advice probably wouldn't be the best
