tire size on a 17 x 7.5 " wheel
tirerack says they reccomend 225 45 r17 for my car with a 17x7.5" wheel.... 04 base rsx... now normally id go with it but im planning for a drop in the future. almost 2 in. with eibach sportline springs. so is it possible to put on a 215 45 r17 on the wheel w/ it not looking stretched?

You can usually tell whether tires look stretched by checking the specs for the range of rim widths approved for the tires. As long as the wheel width is in the middle of the range, the tires should look fine. They tend to look stretched when the wheel width is at the maximum of the range for that size tire.
Most 215/45-17 tires are approved for rims 7.0-8.0 inches wide, and 225/45-17 for 7.0-8.5. In either case, the tires should look fine on a 17x7.5 wheel.
