Default F.S. AEM/Crower D16 Series Rods

I have two sets of AEM Hyper Rods, Manufactured by Crower, for the Honda D16 Series motors.

You might wanna call BS on this but you can call Crower and they will tell you that once... they made rods for AEM.

These rods carry the AEM Part Number 23-301 (Wont show on any current advertised price sheets). Back in the day they would run $750-800 for the set, but understanding that prices on rods have dropped alot since then... I am asking $250.00 per set. Each set will include 1 FREE rod (I have 10 rods total)

Now the specs:

Made from E4340 Chrome Moly Forging
Bolts are L-19 Steel (230,000-260,000 psi )
Good for use up to 9,000 RPM
Good for use in Boosted apps up to 25 psi

center to center = 5.394
big end bore = 1.890
big end width = 0.892
pin end bore = 0.748
pin end width = 0.716
weight = 416 grams ea.

Will fit the D17 motors w/ light modification to the big end width (needs to be 0.780)

$250.00 for a set of 5 rods

Call me 562-477-9257

Default D17

I'd consider these for my D17, but besides the width, I thought the length is different.

AEM Hyper 2 rods were made by Saenz, not crower.
I have them in my motor.

Saenz did indeed make rods for AEM at one time... as did Crower.

That's fine. Do what you have to do... just check w/ me prior to sending the money to make sure they are still avail. I'm not holding these.

They are NEW... do they look used? I thought I took good close-ups.

Thanks and I'll be waiting.

Saenz made the D-Series Hyper 2 rods.
I confirmed this with AEM and with Topline Performance (Saenz) In 2003.
Don't get me wrong, they're still great rods and I'm very happy with them. I've seen videos of turbo d16's with these rods in the 11's

Considering their construction is dis-similar... I would guess they are quite different. These are not H-beams

Is the price close?

The rods are proven in engines up to 25 psi. I dont think notching would be necessary... these are not much different then the stock shape.
