Default distributor/timing 1988 Accord DX

I just finished the head gasket and im putting it back together now I have the #1 cyclender at TDC and the came set for the #1 cyclender but when I took the distrib. cap off it was pointing towards the main coil and not the #1 wire. Is that normal or do I need to spin the cam shaft 360 degrees agin to get the distib. to #1wire?

look at the cam; the cam lobes for #1 should be at the 4 'O' clock and 7 'O' clock.
It is possible you are at #4 TDC but the crank and cam marks are lined up the same as #1 TDC
The distributor is hard to put in backwards because it has an offset tab on it.
