Engine Mods
I have already installed an intake with a good filter. Is there anything else that will help my performance? I cant quite catch a civic or Miata at the 1/8 mile track. Is there an electric engine tuner or something.
Maintenance is good, I just oiled the filter, changed the plugs and timing belt and rear brakes. I have heard that plugs and wires wont make any noticable differnce.
What does everyone think?

What kind of car are you driving? Presumably an accord, but year and model helps too. Do you have headers and an exhaust system?
There's a lot of mods you could do, but none of them after I/H/E are going to be as efficient in power gained/$ wise. You could build up the head and get a more agressive cam, turbo kit, or nitrous. What kind of budget are you working with?
There are electric tuners, but they're going to give you minimal gains with only your light modifications. You can run a chipped ECU on any tuning software, or AEM EMS, Hondata, etc.

Probably the most effective thing you could do on a budget is just to make your car lighter. Maybe take out the back seat, spare tire of you haven't already done so. Also, if you're running oversize rims, like 17+ i would say put the stock tires back on. One of the advantages those smaller cars is having over you is their light weight. Other than than, beyond the basics, you're looking at quite a bit of money.
It is a 98 Accord lx 5 speed 2.3L. I have heard a cam would do a lot but dont know where to look to find a compatable one. The lightening is a good idea, I didnt have my subs in when I raced and will take them back out when I do, will aslo take out all non-essencial stuff to reduce the weight. I am running stock rims but am looking for some new ones, any input on size?
Thanks

taking out your backseats and spare tire isnt going to help you gain anything at all..thats a total of what like 20 lbs...if you have money to work with go with a nice turbo setup and run low boost...or nitrous is a good way to go..I myself dont like the idea of nitrous but then again ive never had it so I cant say much about it!
Gut the whole thing. Its just you, the car, and the engine. put on some ultra light rims. Maybe even smaller rotors. =P Go to the gym and lose some weight too. =P LOL! No nvm muscles weights more, eat more fat.

when i had my 2nd gen teg, i ran 105 octane and stomped a mustang GT in the 1/8th and 1/4 uphill. if you're just looking to stomp guys on the weekends that's not a bad choice in my book. i filled up my tank half way with 93 and the rest with 105. on that note, dont go to the track with a full tank, go with enough to get you down the track and back a couple of times and bring gas cans to refuel, it'll save weight and less weight makes you go faster

weight reductions is a must. an accord is several hundred lbs. heavier than a civic. if you don't have nice upgrades/mods, you'll never catch one on a track. i can bet you that they have mods. to get them more power. power to weight ratio and traction control aren't taken into consideration like they should. alot of people assume that because they have this and that, that its and automatic win for them. i have seen many vids when a cocky driver in a v8 or what not is expecting to walk all over someone and ends up getting walked themselves. if your doing cams make sure your basics are updated. basics are the i/h/e.also and ecu upgrade to piggy back or standalone if your basics are decent and you plan on higher hp goals. you can also look into things like your pistons, boring the block, head work.
