my ol lady has 2000 honda accord 2.3l lx. it bogs at WOT and idles wierd if it don't stal. any ideas?

 

Lots of miles? Have you thought about routine stuff? Fuel filter, tune-up. There's good info in the FAQ section about eratic idles.

 

When was the last time a full tune-up was completed on this car?

just put this moter in car because girlfrind bought it before i looked at it and piston rings were shot. so just put in cAR NEW PLUGS AND WIRES, CAP &ROTER NEW MAP. THOUGHT IT WAS ECU because timing is off about -10 deg. checked in base timing mode. changed ecu was not problem. now i'm out of ideas.

 

you state that the timing is off 10 degrees.

Have you checked to see if the timing belt was installed one tooth off from proper timing?

 

No, but motor came out of a running car i was told when bought it.
never looked at timing belt before instaled.

 

checked timing belt marks all line up. hooked scanner up and the ELD says 99% map reading even when unhooked. throttle at 81% and goes down when you push down. I replace throtle body already and no change stumped any ideas
