.8 cubic ft. vs. 1 cubic foot - does it really matter?
I am reinstalling a system I have into my '91 300zx TT. I love the boxes that I custom made with a nice plexi window and lighting. They are two boxes (1.03 cubic feet each) and made two accommodate a 12" sub in each box. Problem is, I won't have room for my t-tops in the back w/ these sub boxes. I have found a set of great looking boxes for the Z that look great and will allow room for the t-tops, but are only .8 cubic feet which is the lowest recommended for my sub and offer the tightest bass. The recommended range for my sub is .8 to 1.5 cubic feet. Is this a big enough difference to notice. I do preference deeper bass (mostly listen to trance/techno), but wondering if this .2 cubic foot difference is worth complaining about or will be noticeable. Here's a pic of what I'm looking at.

you would not even notice it
If needed you could stuff the enclosure to make the speaker think it in a bigger one.

polyfil or invert mount will pretty much make up the difference.. otherwise it will be largely inaudible...
