Yes I did a search all over and there is nothing I've read to confirm it. I know they use the same size discs but are the calipers the same?

dont listen to this guy bro, yes the rotor itself is the same size but the caliper isn't. the caliper is slighty bigger than the ex front brakes. If your looking to upgrade brakes, i'd do a rear disc conversion. I've got a ex myself and after the rear disc conversion, the car brakes much better. Nose dive is less and you feel more secure about your brakes Or if the rear disc conversion is out of the question throw on some hawk pads and get your rotors turned like i did, works better than stock.

That's strange since the part number for '96-'00 EX calipers and '99-'00 Si calipers are the same.

CALIPER SUB-ASSY., R. FR. = 45018-S01-A02
CALIPER SUB-ASSY., L. FR. = 45019-S01-A02

i haven't actually compared the 96-00 ex calipers to the 99-00 si but i have compared the 96-00 ex calipers with 94-01 teg calipers and the teg's piston is slightly bigger...I'm pretty sure the teg/em1 calipers are indentical. Why do you think people like doing the teg or si front caliper/rotor upgrade. You never hear about people doing ex front brake upgrades right? i myself can not prove it, so can somebody show a chart of this?

Than why are all the part #s different. I went through a whole ordeal trying to find out what brakes were on my hatch when I bought it, ended up tracing the pads and comparing them to del sol, teg, etc.

Trust me there not all the same lol

its because people sell front and rear integra disc brakes and people swap out for both. no one buys front ex brakes with the rear drums. and to answer the question, the brakes are the same

so the 96-00 civic ex and 99-00 civic si calipers/pistons is the same? i know the rotor size is identical i just never knew the calipers/pistons were the same. I still want a chart or some sort of hard proof haha...

as i stated above, i've measured the teg and ex calipers. The calipers itself on the ex is slightly bigger, but the piston on the integra is slightly bigger...i'm guessing the ex/si piston is at 54-55mm?

yes I can confirm integra brakes are Different.

LS GSR and RS front brakes are all the same. A better upgrade than Si's or Ex's if you ask me. Integra brakes are more than enough for a street car. Swapping out the rears to discs is essential for eliminating that brake fade stuff.
