No more s2000 for me? insurance
So ive been wanting an s2000 for the longest time.
But it seems like I wont be able to because insurance is way to much on my own,
and my dad will NEVER co sign.I can afford the payments with $8,000 downpayment. but not insurance
My age is 20 next month.
My help is this....
If you live in So Cal,
Prefer San Diego...
-company
-Age
-Accidents, Violations
-Coverage
Can anyone let me know about a cheap but good insurance?
Thank you!
I dont want to buy anything else but an s2000
=/

Age 27, 3 tickets since having my S2000 for two years now.
Switched to Mercury at $1800/yr for full cov. $500 ded.
Everyone wanted from $2500+. I was with Farmers since 16, wanted almost $4000/yr.
Good luck.

u guys are too young to be wanting to own these cars! unless u make money. when i was 20 i had an ek paying 2800 a year for insurance, now im 27 i pay 85 a month for my s2k with a 500 dec.
At 19 i can easily afford my s2k granted its only an 03 with 11k miles on it so its not exactly a new car. It all depends on how hard you work and how much other stuff you are willing to sacrifice. But i will also admit i did have a good co-sighner.
Also for the original poster your best bet is probly to try putting the car in someone else's name for insurance.
