Tire Size for 02 LX 4-dr w/ stock suspension?
Sup guyz...
I'm pretty sure people have been asking for suggestions and advices for tires sizes but I'm gonna ask again anywayz...
I'm looking for set of 4 tires with a little more stability (maybe improvements in handling/suspension) but with same durability as the stock tires that go on the 02 Civic 4-dr LXs w/stock suspension. The stock tire size is 185-75-14.
I called few places and they suggested:
195-60-14s
or
205-60-14s
But one of the guys told me that if I got the 205s, the tire will be taller and it might rub against the fender or it might rub when passengers are present in the back seats.
I'm thinking of getting the "Falken Ziex ZE 512s"
What do you guyz think?
Please reply and post em up...
Thanks.

205 means they will be wider... 205-60-14 should be fine, ziex's aren't the greatest performance tires but they carry a long treadlife. I have dunlop direzzas and they stick to the ground and I am very satisfied with them. Almost the same price as ziex's.
a 205 is to wide for the 5.5 wide rims i would go with a 195 your not going to find much in a perfomance tire in that size your much better off saveing the 400 bucks for new tires and geting some rims look around most tire shops have good deals on a tire and wheel packages
if you have the stock steelies, they won't rub unless you go something over 235's. i'd recommend 195/60/14. the smaller sidewall will provide you with less flex in the sidewall, thus giving you better handling. the tires are a little smaller, so you're going to have more fenderwell space...
those tires are good, i have them on my car right now
