i got a 1999 honda prelude. i brought my car to the mechanic and he told me i have a cylinder misfire in #'s 1 and 3...damn. how do i go about correcting the problem? i also have an aftermarket catback exaust along with headers. can any of these be a cause to the problem?

If you are misfiring there is a reason. I would check the ignition system first off. But i found this site i know it not a lude but im sure the probable causes are pretty much the same.
