Default Suspension crapping out?

So for the past few months my cars suspension has been very dangerous. When i hit a small bump, ive been told my front passenger wheel keeps bouncing, for about 5 seconds after I hit the bump. When i hit a bump, the car pulls very hard to the right. And the sound it makes is like 3 2x4 slices of wood slapping eachother, or like wood slapping on eachother.

Is it the bushings? or could my shocks be going out? Plus when I take sharp left turns, the right front wheel gets pretty loud.

Sounds like a blown shock. If the shock is blown, it can't control the springs. So if that corner of the car hits a bump, it'll bounce undamped by the damper (which is blown).

The pulling sounds like another issue, possibly alignment.

What do you mean by the wheel getting loud? Do you mean the tires are screeching? Or is there an actual sound that you think is caused by the wheel?

^^well when I take only left turns, it almost sounds like the caliper is catching on the rotor, sounds like im braking with very worn brake pads. Im thinking its a wheel bearing.

But anytime i hit even a small bump, it hurts, its so loud and the front sounds like metal on metal contact almost.

There was a small rubber film I was supposed to put on the springs near the top of the shocks. I dont remember if I installed this, could this be part of the issue? its gotta be my bushings or something.

It's worth a shot to check out your upper and lower balljoints in the front passenger side. A wheel bearing on it's way out has more obvious symptoms, like noises even when going straight, and steering issues; do you have any of those?

Did you get hit in the front in these past few months? is it possible that your control arms or even the frame is bent somehow?

I'm not sure about your suspension, but we put a rubber gasket at the top of our Honda coilovers but it doesn't play any role at all in damping.

crap, yea i hit the biggest pothole in the world a month ago, but its been doing this for a while.

I changed my springs out, but i know the front shocks are blown, but its the wood on wood type sound that I dont get. Its not too bouncy, its just when i hit a pot hole, it JERKS to the right, almost like the car gets airborn, and rotates a few degrees to the right.

The "wood on wood" type sound might be any number of things bottoming out, possibly the piston inside the damper? I don't know what you're running.

In any case, new shocks would be a good first step..

Im running Megan springs on OEM shocks right now, I destroyed the piston on one of the fronts, however I dont have any $$$ to replace them with aftermarkets, but i was wondering if it was the shocks? or maybe bushings (metal on metal since the bushings could be worn and torn)

thank you very much for you help

Honestly I've never heard what a totally busted bushing sounds like, although I imagine it'd be a pretty distinct sound, maybe that metal on metal. Although at that point I imagine the bushing would be demolished and you could tell just be looking. Maybe give everything a once over and see if you can spot anything out of the ordinary.

maybe check the marketplace if anyone in your area is getting rid of some their old stock shocks? That might be a cheap fix to get you at least back to some reasonable ride quality while you save up for new shocks.

well i dont know what I did, but I jacked the car up by the LCA's, loosened all my bolts and re-tightened.

Im thinking that when I tightend the bolts, I only jacked the frame of the car up, so the bushings were binding.

However my cars response has more than tripled it seems, and there is way less suspension noise. Almost like a new car.
