just make sure u get enough stroke of the shock, or else life will be shorten.

yeah im kinda disappointed on the ride height. ill drop it to the lowest setting tomorrow to see if it will close the gap. i dont think the stroke of the shock matters since its full coilovers (correct me if im wrong) im actually just shortening the length of the whole shock itself

no you're not shortneing the shock its self, you re putting less tension on the spring yes it will be lower, and yes shock travel does matter

i think youre going to have to explain that one to me. Omnipowers along with alot of newer coilovers lower the ride height by adjusting the lower collars as opposed to slip-ons that lower the springs. The springs arnt even touched if change the settings.

the only think i should worry about is my car being too low and my wheel rubbing on the A arms.

but anyways. ANY OMNIPOWER OWNERS care to shed light on my situation?

Probably the best way is to post your ride on omnis. Did you also preload the new tilyte coilovers?

i dont reallt think you know what you're talking about

you adjust rid height by turining 2 locking rings then loking them meaning indeed the spring comes lower

omni power adustable suspension kit

A close friend of mine had tilytes on his del sol. The only way he was able to get zero fender gap/slight tuck in the front was to take out some pre-load. Needless to say, it was a bumpy ride...

part 6,7 . ive had friends rub on that before. are at least totally messed them up from being slammed.

no actually you dont lower with the 2 locking rings. the 2 locking rings are there to adjust preload. you lower it by moving the locking ring above the collar UP along with the collars (bottom part of the coilover)

Incorrect, according to omnipower the ride height is adjusted by the lower colloar. The spring sets the pre-load on the strut it self. This adjustmet lowers the car without taking away stroke.

The ride height is seperate from the strok of the struts.

if you change the setting of the spring then you will change the preload.

Just follow the instructions for how to set them up and you will be golden.

coz the car is not design to have the tire tuck. with that height, your roll center is lower than the ground and the suspension is not working well under that condition. but if u are after the look, it is ok to do it.

i have a 98 coupe...i bought the omni fullcoilovers about 8 months ago...i threw them on my car and followed the instructions ...this was bouncy as *expletive*...so i pre-loaded them by compressing the spring with the locking rings and i also shortened the actual length of the FULLCOILOVER to the shortest possible...this made my car ride like a CHAMP...but still it wasn't that low...i had a gap of about 1" front and 2" rear...after 6k on the setup the gaps disappeared and now im riding low with no gap so basically u need to BREAK-IN your setup...this was the best investment i have ever made...

twist the spring locking rings towards the top so u are actually creating tension on the spring...

I know see what 1800 posts in 6 months will get you, a big head and no knowledge.

Omni's are preload/height adjustable and both adjustments are seperate so why don't you stop posting random idiocy like you do nightly and take some time and learn about what you are bumping your gums about.

To the OP, they will have to settle man. I have used Omni's on all my Hondas and love them. Once you get them broken in, you won't want any other coilover for less than 1400 bucks.
