if you plan on running a NHRA event at all with them you have to get the M&H tires as they are stamped DOT and will pass tech
most people run the 24x3.6x15 size
most people run the 24x3.6x15 size
these are the 22x3.4x15 i ran last year.
i need more height in the rear this year, so i am running the 24's.
and james is correct on the legality of skinnies in SFWD. they have to be DOT approved. and the m and h front runners (he hee front runners) are.

I thought that was true as well, until Devin asked one of the Scion guys, who used Goodyear front runners at the last event. Apparently they asked NHRA for clarification, and found that the DOT requirement is not necessary for the non-driven wheels. They were allowed to run with the tires they had.
I know the rulebook specifically lists only the M&H tires, but I now believe there is some room for other interpretations.

Yes. You can mount a 1" wide skinny on a 3.5" wide rim if you wanted to.
