https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1636000

thats only underbody skid plate.

im thinking:

the header is the lowest point in the car, which gets smashed first, then the oil pan and then the crossmember....

if i were to just weld in bar of some sort, something to take the impact of the bottoming out

it would onlny have to be a CENTIMETER at most lower than the downpipe. and an inch thick.

this would be strong enough to take the bang and grind away...

no need for a skid plate, which is more for debris anyway.

Slam your ride, slam your oilpan.

Never had that problem.

thats because youve never had to drive in a place with speed bumps, or pull in MY DRIVEWAY.
i rip my bumper off everytime i back out of the driveway, but i have to pull in the driveway to work on the car.

its about a solid 6 inch ledge....

and if you live in a place thats mountainous its worse...

my driveway sucks, and i have massive speed humps to my left and right of my driveway. its a hondas worst nightmare.

you seriously rip your back bumper off? i think that would be enough to raise the car up, plus I think slammed cars are out now. Its all about 15"-16" wheels and maybe a 1.5" drop if that.

slammed cars arent in? i dont really give a **** about whats in... black widow body kits were "in" at one time do they look good? 15 inch wheels and a 1.5 inch drop screams WHEEL GAP. which is fugly. jdm is in, and i think some of it looks like ****...

now back to the topic.

i got another crossmemeber which im going to design and weld a scrape bar...

i wont have to worry about **** after that. and i can drive a slammed car fine.

i dont bottom out on the road anyways becuase i have good suspension, just high inclines.
