This question is not answerable... the best shift RPMs vary greatly on the engine set up, type of engine, turbo, non turbo... ect ect... and just as JDM-EJ1 has said.. When? when driving normally? Racing.... auto crossing? give us more info... to find you real best shift point get your engine dynoed and then shift at the RPM where your car no longer makes power...

Only way to really do it. Anything else is nothing more than your guess is a good as mine.

Go get it dyno'd and look at the power curve and shift a tad before you it starts curving down. That's the only REAL way to tell where you should be shifting.
For daily driving, I shift anywhere from 2500-4000.

this is not always the best.
take it how you want.
the higher you shift, the higher you end up in the rpms in the next gear. the higher you end up in the shift, the more power you end up in.

It's not always the best but if he wants the most power out of his motor, he should take it to get dyno'd so he knows where to shift to get optimum power.
And it's not always the best to shift higher or "take it how you want". It puts an incredible amount of stress on engine components if you shift too high and the engine isn't build to withstand it. One easy way to say goodbye to a motor.
