Default D SERIES L3 CASE SI-DX DIFFERENCES.

So i have an Si case that i got from the local pick and pull have now rebuilt it's inners including LSD and put it all back in the car refilled with oil and have just discovered the smallest of cracks about 2mm at the end of the case half just below the 3/8 plug to get at the snap ring.

My question is are dx and si outer case halves the same? I doubt it because of bearing size on the diff but i thought i'd ask anyway.

Dave

No..they are two different cases Make sure they are cracks and not surface imperfections that appear to be cracks when the cases are molded.

It's for sure a crack as it's leaking a quater sized drip on the ground out of the crack.
As for cases that's what i thought off to pick n pull again.

JB Weld??? doesn't sound like its serious enough that it can't be fixed by some JB Weld.

For what i'm using it for i'd rather fix it right. Thanks though. there's lots of these cases at the local pick n pull.
