HELP! need advice with increasing performance
Hey guys
ill just straight out be honest with you. I dont kno that much about cars or engines and whatever, but alot of my friends do. They all have been trying to tell me what to do with my Integra, but i figure why not try asking people WITH integras!
so anyway, i got an 1.8L LS 2000 Integra.
Engine is all Stock, havnt added anything in there yet.
What do you think the first thing i should do is?
I've heard:
1) cold air intake
2) turbo charge it
3) engine head swap with a b16b head (not the b18c, aparently cause its cheaper and does the same just its made for a different car but will still work)
completely different responses...
Suggestions?

alright I'm Really Really gonna TRY and be nice... go read the FAQ's, and go browse through the performance and FI forums before you make another post. please.
hehe instead of trying i will be nice and help you out...when upgrading a car to perform you have to decide what you want and how much to shell out...but ill break it down for you...
1 NA way (naturally aspirated) which means pretty much all engine
2 FI (forced induction) turbo, supercharger, you know?
3 nitrous- its not common but you can do it...
once you choose a way then the desiring and daydreaming comes if you have no money...if you do then all the parts will come after you figure out on what to buy...

i guess i feel greedy saying this but i wana make it run faster without fishin out a whole lot of cash
so you think paying 1000 worth of headers, intakes and exaust is better than turboing what i got now?

hey no problem dude...if your waiting to turbo dont buy the headers and intake because you will get rid of them later...just save for a turbo because alot of money will be spent later on all the parts the pistons and internals and fuel and engine management and tuning...
but if you want performance NOW and plan to go the all engine way then you can get headers, intake, exhaust, intake manifold, camshafts, spark plugs blaster coil, ignigtion box, and throttle body...a tune always helps too...
when you go more expensive later you will do clutches and axles and pistons crankshafts cam gears injectors, standalone engine management system and blah blah...

a way in which i decided to buy thing is i love turbo spool and BOV sound and the sudden power increase and just look at some prices man...its all up to you...

You can;t go fast cheap...It's a fact of life. The cheapest thing you can do to go fast is nitrous.
And lets see.. Spend a gran on I/H/E and get 10-15 hP on yoru LS? Or put that gran towards a turbo and make many more ponies?

As far as a suggestion.. Research LS/Vtec. Thats the route I'd go if I had an LS.
Also, a b16 tranny w/bolt ons, on an LS will net you low 15's to high 14's.
Geez, threads like this make my head hurt.. My god people... This site has been around for years.. SEEEEEAAAAAAARRRRRRCCCCCCCHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
