del Sol JDM cluster help
I have a 96 del Sol and i just bought a Jdm guage cluster. the problem is.. the jdm cluster doesnt have a **** to adjust the dimmer of the guages. Its permanently dim, too dim for my liking. what can i do the make it brighter? any ideas????
I think the JDM clusters had some sort of "auto-adjust" feature where they sensed the light... can't find the post where that was, might have been on a different board.
Anyway, you could try to trick that sensor into thinking it was always dark, or somehow swap the adjuster from a USDM cluster into your JDM... or swap the gauges from your JDM into your USDM.

To the best of my memory; the port for the potentiometer (dimmer ****) still exists on the back of the JDM cluster. I THINK you have to remove a plastic plate to get to it though. You will also need to just adjust it and leave the entire device behind the cluster as, obviously, there is no hole for it to go through on the JDM unit.
