i just recently purchased a jdm del sol cluster from a member on this site, and just now installed it. everything seems to work fine except...
when you turn the key to the second notch, the speedo suddenly jumps to 22 km/h...WTF??? the car's not even on yet, let alone moving!
also i have heard that when you install the jdm cluster you sacrifice the climate control lighting because the lack of the dimmer switch on the jdm cluster. any truth to this? if so, how would i rig it to work? tia

I have the JDM cluster in my car, and it does not make my speedo jump when the key is on the second "notch" As for the dimmer, you will lose control, somewhat.... There is no spot for it to come through the cluter for on board adjustment, but you can plug it in, and adjust it to the desired brightness (mine is on the hightest) and reinstall the cluster. The **** and potentiometer will be neatly hidden behind the cluster.
