Need Advice: Where to pull +12V
Hey guys and gals.
Could sworn I'd seen this somewhere on the site before, but can't seem to find it again...
I'm wiring up a solenoid for the remote trunk release... just need a 12V source. Looking to splice somewhere in the driver's kickpanel, I have a 15A fuse, so no need to splice into an existing circuit, just need something headed straight to the battery.
Thanks in advance!

cigarette lighter is 12V, you can also get a constant 12V from your stereo memory wire... and also your clock is constant 12V

Do not try to pull 12 volts there for your trunk pop. That wire will not supply enough current to the relay and trunk popper and will blow that wire fuse or burn out that wire. Get 12 volts from the white wire in the ingnition harness or the fuse block free pin. Make sure you fuse the relay and the popper.

Thank ya much... all done as so... works great. Found my alarm wired to that white wire and spliced into that location.
