Default Short Shirters?

I have wanted to put a short shifter on my 99 civic EX for a while now and as i have been looking for which one i want to put on my car i noticed that there is a huge difference in prices between some brands. What is the difference between a $13 and $130 short shifter. is it really worth paying the extra $100, is there a difference what is the difference and what would you suggest? thanks for your help

The difference is great. The type of materials used in the short shifter, quality overall) of the product, amount of testing and the durability of the product, etc... I just got a megan racing short shifter from kgsengineering.com for $34.99 shipped which is a great deal (costs that much on meganracing.com w/ out shipping & handling costs). I've had it in combo with a skunk2 weighted shift **** for 2 months and can't complain!

Sure, it's not a skunk2 one but skunk2's are $140 from their website ($110 shipped if you look around). They are made from steel though.

I can get you a short shifter our great quality at a good price.

Short Shifter $75.00

Professional racers use short shifters to switch gears as fast as possible to win the race. Factory shifters are too long to switch gears quickly. Our short shifter will fix this problem by providing a shorter shift throw. This Sport Shifter has all of the features a performance minded driver requires. The finest materials, CAD designed, coupled with a short throw results in one extraordinary precision shifting system. This stylized precision shifter includes many of the key features found in race shifters including a stainless steel stick assembly, a CNC machined aluminum base and a glass filled nylon pivot ball. All of this combined with a simple straightforward installation provides a professional level shifter.

* Engineered for Precision Shifts
* Shift throw reduced for quicker shifts
* 303 Stainless steel stick
* Stainless steel cable adapter
* Stainless steel pivot ball
* Accepts stock factory ****
* Direct bolt on installation
