My alarm was fine for the first year and a half..then out of the blue the horn stopped working..the lights still blink but no sound comes out...WTF?? ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED...

 

Find out if it's in valet mode. If you don't have the owners manual, go to compustar's website and download it. You can also try http://www.the12volt.com. If you can't find your exact manual, try to find one similar to yours. Valet mode should be the same procedure across their line of alarms.

If it's not in valet, cut the wires to your horn and touch them to your battery. If the horn sounds, then you have some deeper problem so let us know.

 

also maybe check and see if you haven't disabled your lock/unlock horn output accidentally via remote.

or are you talking about when the alarm is already triggered?

 

look on the back of the remote....compustars have a "cheat sheet" there. i believe "lock" and "trunk" pressed at the same time will take it in or out of valet. do not press and hold; just a press
