better to go ls turbo or ls/vtec (port and polished, milled 0.020) turbo? pros and cons of each? thanks!

 

LS TURBO... cuz i said so!

 

VTEC will be disengaged when turbo kicks in, so save money and get an LS, then turbo that.

 

disengaged? then why do ppl even bother turbocharging a GSR?

 

Turbo the LS first and see how you like the boost. More then likely, you'll be satisfied with it.

If not, drop a VTEC head on it.

 

wtf who told you vtec "disengages"? common sense ls vtec turbo if your budget allows it. my bud quikb20 just built this hybrid b20 vtec with rev hard kit and it is def one of the fastest tegs around!

 

who lied to you, every bit of research i have read says VTEC loves air, the more air the better, my friend has a JDM B16 turbocharged EG HB, that thing torque steers like a bitch when VTEC engages just after it hits full boost, if you floor it just before VTEC kicks in, and just after boost, it will bark the tires no matter what gear.

 

Simple VTEC head flows better.

MY LS/VTEC IS COMPLETE!!!!! i absolutely love it, it has sooooooooooo much power, and the vtec isn't even hooked up yet, i can't wait for that JDM B16 VTEC to engage, it is gonna be so tight.............. the VTEC doesn't work yet b/c the ECU i had for the swap didn't communicate well with the engine, so i'me usin the LS ECU, but that engine is so strong, i was running with my boy in his boosted B16 HB last night!!!!

 

what is your set up like for your ls/vtec? good to hear it is running

 

screw ls/vtec.... LS turbo all the way :D when your turbo you don't desire the vtec anymore (assuming you never had it in the first place)
