suppose the one you picked up from the junkyard is no good also? Was the cel on before you diagnosed the car? or only when you diagnosed it..then it showed up?

the diagnosis i got was before me changing the TPS, but where i bought the TPS, all their cars they dismantle does not have a check engine light on it( so they say), the CEL also appear after me swapping the TPS,..

its very unlikely you have purchased a bad tps.. it's a potentiometer type sensor. after you have it set to .45v close with key on engine off. then go to your ecu and de-pin d22 on your ecu and make sure it is a good connection

gotta calibrate it.

get a multimeter.

tap the positive into the middle wire (i think its red/blue) and ground the ground

turn key to on

make sure it reads appx .45v closed throttle, if it doesnt, turn it until it does.

then go WOT and make sure it reads appx 4.5-5.0v

once it reads those, tighten it down, reset ecu, be happy.
