Honda civic 1999 EX Wiring Hardness??
Hello everyone
Im about to put my b16 in my civic EX coupe however I have a question regarding the wiring hardness...Is it true I can run the current wiring hardness for the swap? have an OBD1 computer. I was told by some guy tha would be possile but I would have to ad some other wires in addition to the current stock wires of the 99 EX.

i think all that you have to do is lengthin some wires but the ex harness should work, and just get a jumler harness to for the obd1 computer, are you just going to run a hondata or like a chipped p28, i have this same dilema i plan on duing my swap soon to, good luck man
Thank you fo the reply, in responce to our question im not quiet sure yet on what type of cumputer to go with. Yesterday I had ask in a post wether or not I should go BOOST force induction or all motor and the responce I got back from many people were to go FORCE INDUCTION, so im leaning more towards going turbo wth that in mind i was thinking of a hondata computer.
My Swap includes PR 3-1 Integra Type-R head with the B16 block and posibbly Integra Type-R pistons, B16 tranny.

Dont worry about boost or all motor at all. Worry about getting your swap in correctly and running correctly. As far as anything you dont have use any harness except for the one the car came with. So yes your correct use your 99EX Harness. The things you might have to worry about wiring are things that are diffrent OBD's such as Fuel Injector Connections, Alternator and Distributor. Everything should plug up without any problems except for the 02 should be extended. Finally buy a jumper harness OBD2b to OBD1 and run a P28 or you can easily buy a EM1 ECU and be fine
