valvetrain
i was wondering if anyone has experice with upgrading valvetrain..
was it easy to do or was it a pain in the ***..
should i go get it professionally done or easy enough to do it yourself...?
is there a book/website out there than can tell you specifically what to do STEP bySTEP....

If your going to do valvetrain I take it your upgrading your camshafts too. What I did is I took my head completely off and sent it to a shop. There they completely cleaned my head so it came out looking brand new and they also milled the head down a bit to bump up the compression. After that they installed my valvesprings and retainers all for $120
You can do the work yourself, but for a price like that its hard to beat. The only thing that you need to do on your own is adjust the valves which your local mechanic can do. Look around for cylinder head shops and get some quotes
