Are all alignment shps created equal?
I noticed i am getting some really good wear on the inside's of my front tires (more so on the passenger side) any how i was just wondering is all alignment shops are going to be the same? Can anyone reccomend a shop in Socal.
Definitely not. I've seen and heard some horror stories. But for 99% of cars out there, any shop is fine. It's when you start specifying adjustments or when you're lowered and have some aftermarket arms on there that you will run into problems with many places.

Well i dont have any specific adjustments i need, but i do have adjustable camber kits on the front and back. I will have to ask a sh*t load of questions to see if they have the right answers since i believe most shops do not have experience with aftermarket parts.

All alignment shops are not created equal. I can't suggest anyone in Cali, but regardless of where you go get a print-out of all the specs and make sure they didn't mess anything up. Also, if you have aftermarket camber kits, make sure that everything is still functioning properly and fully tightened down on these after the shop is done. If a shop isn't willing to give you a full print-out of the alignment, they aren't worth going to.

Definitely not. If you've got camber kits, I wouldn't worry too much though because most shops can get you to where most people need to go. That's less inner tire wear. But if you're lowered and prefer not to run a camber kit, i'd search around. Two places that come highly recommended is Clark's house of suspension in Orange County and West End in Los Angeles.
I'm starting to think the $85 at those two places is well worth the money. Why pay $60 and have it done wrong and lose a fresh set of tires when you could put out $25 more and get it done right? Seriously!
The only reason I didn't go to those places yet is because of the driving distance. An extra $20 just for gas. So I figured $60 local alignment or $105 professional dial in style alignment??? Huge mistake on my part. I never had a car as low as the one I had now so I thought any alignment shop would achieve the same result.
My math sucks.. and i'm a math tutor! lol RAWR
