I use Torrance Auto Repair. 310.533.1771 Very lowered car friendly, if you happen to go ask for Butch, his a really good guy.
No not all alignment shops are equal. In the end its the mechanic thats working on it that makes the difference over the shop. Thats why i gave you a mechanics name over just a shop. Stay clear of Super Autobac though, when my friend went the workers there didnt seem to know what was going on.

Yeah, only a few months after getting my alignment done there (and not getting my alignment sheet after it was done) my car was pulling to the left. I will never go back to Autobac.

An alignment shop is only as good as the technician doing the alignment, however be aware that most shops are not willing to work on modified cars because of equipment limitations and for liability reasons. Shop around to find a place that is friendly to (reasonably) lowered cars and/or will align to your specifications. Also make sure to ask for before and after print-outs. Keep in mind that with a custom alignment on a lowered car, most places can not guarantee the car will align perfect and thus can not back their work.
I did alignments for a few years and always took my time to get the specs as close as possible and make sure the steering was straight. It's time-consuming and often troublesome, and I charged more than average to do it - but I took pride in knowing every job was done right.

If the car left the shop tracking straight, and the tires have worn evenly, the problem was not caused by them. You must have hit something to knock it out in the meanwhile.

Thanks for all the info guys, I will be making some phone calls today nad doing some shopping around. Getting before and after printouts is a great idea (would have never thought of the before...even though thats the one that counts since you need it to compare to the after). Thanks again

Shocks, no - springs, yes. Any time you change the ride height of the vehicle, you have to reset the alignment.

if the tire wear is a new issue tho you are going to probly wind up replacing some suspension parts ie. bushings, ball joint alignments just don't go out unless you live up here in maine were a pot hole can swallow your wheel

The whole "lifetime" alignment sounds great...however i believe others are right when they say its not the shop as much as it is the tech. I could pay 200 for lifetime alignments and have a lifetime of 17 year old making minimum wage doing my alignmets wrong or i can drop 100 bucks when its needed and have a master of the trade d it right each time. I was refered to a place close to home called Clarks house of suspension that i was told rivals West End, so i have made an appointmen with them for tomorrow. If they are any good i will post up for any socal people looking
