Default would I run into any problems using Jun III's...

I have a Pr3 head with Crower dual springs and tit. retainers. I am going to be installing a set of Jun III's this Week and I am concerned about compatability issues. Is there anything to be concerned about? Also, I am not going to use Jun cam gears as I have a set from another company. Has anyone found that Jun cams need to be used with their cam gears like todas? TIA

Well, I can tell you one thing. If anything happens to your cams and you want JUN to warranty the cams, you should use the JUN valvesprings, or you will run into trouble with warranty claims.

Jun cams work with other companies cam gears, I was using Skunk 2's, but I am using JUN now.

The cams are used anyways, so I dont think I can claim anything. They have about 7000 miles

I don't think you will run into any problems but personally I don't really trust Crower products. Any cam gear is fine, I like Skunk2

use the JUN springs. Crower springs arent made for the extreme pressure JUN III put on the valvesprings during vtec.

The Crower 68185 valve springs cannont handle a cam with more than 12.0 mm of lift. Their Stage 3 (63403) VTEC cam has a lift of 11.9888 mm (0.472 in.). Using a cam with more lift than this will lead to coil bind and you will damage your motor.

Cheers.

Get Jun valve springs. It's not that Crower is bad, it's just Jun's valve spring and cams were designed to work together.

I use Crower Ti retainers with my Jun3 cams and valve spring.

You guys are nuts. . . your a little skeptical on Crower??????!!!!!!!

There parts are in the 3-4 second top fuel 5000 hp cars and have been around for ever. But you would trust Jun because why?
Because I have seen too many motors grenaded when Crower components fail, and I have heard too many negative stories regarding warranty issues. Because a manufacturer is great at making parts for domestics doesn't mean that they are great at making parts for Japanese motors

WoWeeee, I never knew they used Crower Honda Valve springs in Top Fuel cars, thats super neato. I always thought they used purpose built components specifically for 5000 horsepower cars!
