Stupid Throttle control question.
Ok, So im having problems with the throttle on my 94'si sticking and surging. When i step on the gas even just a little bit, it will go up to around 2000 and stay there for a short bit and then slowly come back down to about 1500... where it has been stayin at idle. Which seems to high to me. It surges up and down most of the time, but much worse when its cold, and sometimes, it doesnt do it at all.
I searched this and found that i should probly check the IACV and my vaccum hoses first. SO my question:
Does anyone else have any ideas about this inparticular problem, and second; is the IACV located in the throttle body?

This sounds like a vacuum leak, check all ur lines to make sure u don't have a leak. And the IACV is on the intake manifold, search for it on hear and u should be able to find a picture of it.
Yes, search for idle problems and you'll find tons of info. The IACV is on the front of the intake manifold and check the FITV also (located on the bottom of the throttle body).
can you pull on the gas pedal and make it idle down? I had a problem with my old throttle body sticking because the return spring had turned lazy.
got the same problem after i swapped my 2.0 for a jdm 2.2 (both obd2).
when I start it up it goes up to about 1000rpm, but after a few secs it suddenly goes to 1500.
haven't found a solution yet.

the idle surging could be your throttle cable is not adjusted right.
with the throttle sticking, is it after you come off full throttle ? if it is then adjust the screw where the TB butterfly returns to idle position and turn the screw another half turn..
