when to adjust valves?
I got a JDM 2yrs ago
runs great, but doesnt seem to have the same edge it had 2yrs ago
When will young eng, like the ones that are imported, need a valve adj?
At the normal interval?
or do the valves seat during break-in and need attention quicker?

You don't have a young engine, it's as old as all the other engines of that model year. Valve adjustments should be done anytime you fiddle with the valve train, or every year for good measure. I myself adjust them every 6 months.

I adjust after every winter season or any time I screw with the valvetrain like the good Dr. said.

It took a lot of self control to resist.
I meant relatively young dr.
The rest of the car is 255k+, therefore the engine is young compared to the car.
But at 80k (my guess) it is no spring chicken.
As far as it being the same age as the model of car, who knows...
It aint in that car, its in my car which is much older.
