Hey guys I need some quick advice.

I have two cars a project (jdm d15b) and a DD (usdm d15). I also have a spare y7 block & head in my basement.

Is there any beneficial combination of blocks and heads that I have available that would be worthwhile, keeping in mind that I want performance for my project and MPG for my DD…

no use for the y7. is the d15b vtec? if so keep it! its better than your y7. just keep that motor for spare for later.

 

Use the Y7 bottom with the D15b Head!

Right now until the jdm d16b blows, it will remain stock. I was thinking about using the y7 block with d15bvtec head.

Is there anything i can do with the usdm d15 in my beater and the y7? IS there any way to increase the fuel economy?

 

Not unless you have the JDM D15b, like i have. It runs 12 valve until 2600 Rpm. i get good mileage, havent had it long enough to go out and get an exact count tho

 

What sort of compression ratio would i get with a y7 head on a udsm d15?
