Default B&M vs. AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator

i just found i have a faulty stock fpr.

is the aem $160 worth it over the b&m $50?

if my fpr is faulty, will it affect the performance of the b&m add on?

I haven't had good luck out of ether one, unless you have alot done to your engine/fuel system I would just put on a new stock one.

Stock is perfectly fine unless you need the ability to raise/lower your pressure.

Unless you are rocking something making enough power to max out your injectors and you need to raise pressure and retune the IDC down, just buy another stock.

If you are though, stay away from the B&M, it's not "bad" but they don't like long. The adjustment screw will strip over time if you have to use it a lot (constant changing setups and retunes on the dyno). Also it won't flow enough without modification to control a Walbro 255 below 45psi at idle where it should be high 20's.

I use an AEM now and have no issues with it at all.

I have a B&M right now and its been ok. Only thing is what Jay said, the adjustment screws a little fucked up/stripped.

Also FYI you still need a stock FPR to use with the B&M

Yep, forgot that part. If your stock one (bottom side) is trashed, you can't use a B&M.

Like I said, not bad, I have had 3, but there are better out there if you can throw the loot at em.

I have seen AEM fpr go lean for no reason just and blow motors. I have seen it with 3 motors so far and know for sure it was the FPR. They were all AEM. No one ever believes me when I tell them this, but good luck.
