Default SOHC headers question!!

im getting dc 4-2-1 1 piece header for my d15b7 eg hatchback and was wondering if the oem gaskets will fit? also will i still be able to use the heat shield? i have heard that heat wrapping the headers are very bad but how bad is the temp without it?

my old D series only had one header... now whats going on here...?

and why are you spending money on your D15b7???

anyways yes to the gasket, and no to the heat shield...temp is not that bad.. or at least i have never had a prob with paint fading, bubbling up, parts melting.. ect...

word

but as said above your oem gasket will fit but your heat shield will not, and it doesnt really matter because 1.) a d15b doesnt get THAT hot and 2.) dc sports are street legal and there is no need to hide them.

i have a header and they're not ceramic-coated or wrapped. don't worry about it, it won't be a problem.

there should be no bolts for the header.. there are studs in the head and then nuts that thread on the studs that hold the header to the head. you can reuse both the studs and nuts. just slap a new gasket on and torque the header down.
