B18 lift points??? Removing engine with a engine hoist, need help
Well finally got out that dam Shifter linkage pin, so its ready to come out. When lifting it out, where should I lift???? Only have one bracket set up so far. I bolted a bracket to the power steering bracket, but haven figurred out where else to mount the second one.
I though about mounting a second bracket to one of the intake manifold studs, but some how I dont think thats gonna hold.
Also theres a bracket on the transmission that look like it was designed for lifting it out. Its pretty thick, and probally made out steel. Also have a oval loop. One can only guess its for lifting the engine and tranny out.
Any ideas to mount the second bracket would be great.

upper PS bracket bolt hole.
the tranny one your talking about and right across from the ps one on the other side of the head
hooking it to 3 points is way easier than 2

amen to that... 2 points will make the motor wobble around

I use one on the front of the engine (by intake manifold near the timing belt cover) and one on the back of the engine (usually the top distributor bracket if a longblock) otherwise pulling engine/tranny I use the little hook deal by the exhaust side with a bolt through it and the chain.
A Honda engine tranny complete weighs less than 500 pounds so not a big threat with breaking ****.
