Default d16y8 pistons?

will vtec pistons fit in a non-vtec block? d16y8 non-vtec sohc, whats the differance between vtec an non-vtec pistons?

if you have a d16y8 you have a vtec engine its the y7 that is non vtec

as long as the diameter is the same it should fit. Just keep in mind how the compression ratio will be affected.

Even the D16Y7 has different pistons than the D16Y8? Thought it was just the heads different..

i think the heads are different and the pistons are the same but im more a a bolt on guy (throwing engines in a car counts as bolt on in my book)

you could look up the bore an stroke of the engine online i found it once but can't tell you were i found it cause it was a long time ago

then i saw he's a trial member.
