installing gsr fuel pump in my 89 civic si right NOW. after dropping the tank and pulling out my stock pump i noticed that my stock pump is much larger than the so called gsr pump. did the salvage yard sell my something else or is the gsr pump suppose to be smaller?
thanks,
charles?

That's right. The stocker is larger than the GSR pump. What I did is use the tubing to put the GSR pump kind of into the stock location and then zap-strap it to the brace, taking care to avoid actual contact with the metal brace by positioning it with the rubber isolator at the end of the bracket. It sounds like mumbo-jumbo but try and see if you know what I mean

thats strange. i just checked http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com and they list 3 different fuel pumps for an 89 si civic. 1 fuel pump for 88-89 crx si. and 1 fuel pump for ALL 90-91 civic/crxs.
Damn, that is weird. The filter itself is the stock CRX one, since it mounts in the engine bay. Are you talking about the filter baggie on the end of the pump itself?
