Black Box Next to Battery ?

Black Box Next to Battery ?

Hey, i am tracking down my idle that likes to jump around, i sprayed some Carb cleaner on this black box next to the battery on my 91 Accord EX, the idle went real low and then back up after a few seconds, WHAT IS THAT BOX with vacuum lines coming off of it that is mounted on the fender well next to the battery on passenger side fender ?

When i unhooked the top line of the box the car runs fine !

vacuum canister. are you sure its next to the battery, not next to the fuse box, mounted on the fire wall with 4 vacuum lines goin to it?

Carb cleaner doesnt hurt ****, if you spray on your vacuum lines it will let you know if there is a vacuum leak while the car is running due to the erratic idle.... Black box with vacuum lines coming out of it NEXT TO THE BATTERY ,looks like i am off to the junk yard...thanks
