Advice or tips on what? It's a busted-*** Civic that's going to cost hundreds - if not thousands - of dollars to get back to stock quality.

Helpful tips on what, moron!? What are we supposed to be advising you with? Do you need bodywork tips or engine tips or suspension tips or what?

Christ, you're stupid

Welcome to Honda-Tech (and Happy Easter).

i never said that it would be done with just that. of course he has alot of work to do thats why its a PROJECT. if he wanted a GEM, he wouldnt have bought it. he asked for opinions on what to do with it. so thats what i gave him.

well the only advise i can give you is to do the body work before the rust spreads and replace that fender then the little imperfections the body might have ..maybe a paintjob? than go from there

thanks, i will def take care of the rust as fast as possible. i should cut them out and then get peices welded in right? full quarter panels would be a little dramatic right?

The rust is pretty bad on that car, not the worst I've seen, but it's already through on the passanger side and will continue to spread. Also if you tear down the interior you will probably find more rust. IMO it's not worth spending the thousands on a car whose kbb is around $1500.

I'm not saying it's impossible to fix, but unless you can do your own body work it will definetely cost an arm and a leg.

What kind of project are you thinking of? Is this your dd?

this is not my dd and i do plan on doing the body work myself. i am ordering a new driverside fender. im not too sure how im giong to deal with the rear quarter panels but i have a few friends that work and own body shops. i try my hardest to get this car in good shape its just going to take time. this is just a hobby for me and i have fun with it so im not getting all stressed out about it. ill keep the pics comming. i want to figure somthing out this week and get started on the rust this weekend.

like everyone said, fix the rust, repair/replace the dents, get a nice paint job and she'll be as good as new.

then get some rims, and if you wanna go JDM then get amber corners and fogs

Amber corners are not JDM. Actual jdm ones are clear. And doing that doesn't make your car jdm. It just means you have different looking corners. I know how you feel about the work dude, I just got my project hatch today also. Good luck with it. What are your plans? After the body work that is.

Outside of the body. Get under neath and check suspension bushings, any rubber. Fluid piping and anything else.
If the rust is that bad on the outside definately pull interior and check in the spare tire well. Water likes to end up there if something is leaking on inside.

Full quarters might be hard to find. You may have to work with some sheet metal to fill gaps.

have fun with this one.

If you want it to have a nice body, and/or suspension bolts that don't break when you try to loosen them,.... I'd just sell it and buy a southern car.

Then you'll have something worth working with.
